Germany’s First Inception Workshop in Leipzig

Germany’s First Inception Workshop in Leipzig

On 19 March 2026, the Germany case study successfully held its very first inception workshop, focusing directly on connecting with local farmers. Organised by UFZ as an interactive face-to-face session, the event aimed to introduce the structure, goals, and upcoming activities of the project, while building a reliable foundation for future collaboration on the ground.Out of the ten farmers who had registered for the session, seven attended!

To keep the session engaging and easy to follow, the project team combined detailed digital presentations with practical workshop activities.

The feedback from the attendees was incredibly positive. Every farmer who attended expressed a strong desire to stay updated on the progress of the project. Furthermore, the team has already planned direct follow-up activities with three of the participants to dive deeper into а discussion about how European Union policies impact landscape features.

While this initial workshop does not have a direct impact on the wider public just yet, it plays an essential role in raising awareness about the project at the local level. By establishing these connections, LAFERIA has secured a great basis for future stakeholder activities, ensuring that upcoming work with farmers will run much more smoothly.
