Heckenscheck is a German initiative that enables private and corporate actors to finance hedgerow planting through voluntary biodiversity and climate certificates ("Ökowertpapiere"). Each purchased credit finances one square meter of new hedge, creating a market-based mechanism to fund the restoration of this key landscape feature for climate and nature benefits.
